Ok, they are everywhere...microfiber cloths.  They go by various names, sometimes with microfiber in the name, sometimes with sham. What I want to know is do they work? Are they as effective at cleaning and soaking up water, as they claim to be?

When I was gathering information, one lady told me she had these cloths from a Canadian company, and all she had to do to clean her dirty windows were to wash them with something called an Antibac Enviro Cloth that was dampened with plain water, and then polish them to a streak-free shine with the Antibac Window Cloth (polishing cloth).  She said they worked so well that she had to buy another set for her husband to use on his car.

 Well, anyone who knows me, knows that these kind of products are what interests me...no chemicals, no paper-towels, no lint, no streaks.  This sounds very intriguing. But, do they really work?

I bought my own set. I hoped these really worked, because this basic package is not cheap. It cost me $32.99 plus taxes (CAN).

We have french doors on the landing going to our basement. We also have two, sometimes very wet, Miniature Schnauzers. So, when I first received my order, I chose to test the cloths on this door. Getting all the little snot-stains off without leaving streaks has become almost impossible. Ok, so here's the thing; they worked remarkably well, AND there were no harmful chemicals left on the windows that could harm my little pups.  Ok, I am impressed, so I tried the cleaning cloths on our bathroom.  They have little specks of silver in the cloths that act as a natural antibacterial which removes 99.9% of the bacteria on surfaces, and then the silver destroys the bacteria within hours.

With just the cloth and plain water, I was able to remove all the gunk left from my teenage daughter.  We have a lovely black-topped vanity in the bathroom, and the cloths didn't leave any streaks or lint.
